This is me! 🙂
My life is composed of multiple elements. I believe that trusting God unconditionally as well as finding a way to balance life’s have to’s with life’s want to’s is the secret to happiness. I have a beautiful 2-year-old daughter, and amazing husband and I am currently a full-time graduate student at Texas A&M University, working on my Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction. Additionally, I am fortunate to teach preservice teachers at Texas A&M University and work as a graduate assistant researcher. I am also working on my own research, looking at teachers’ understanding of technology for higher levels of learning and digital literacy.
I spend my free time (the little I have) learning more about things that interest me. Having a firm belief that lifelong learning is the key to health, happiness, and success, if I stop learning, I am of no benefit to anyone. I have lived in Texas my entire life basically staying within a 200 mile (plus or minus) radius from my hometown of Conroe, TX where my family still lives. To put in non-Texan type terms, it is about 45 miles North of Houston. Most people have heard of Houston. 🙂

I am married to an amazing man that has truly shown me what love really is and what it feels like. I am lucky to have him to share my life and experiences with. Good thing he puts up with me. I think that goes both ways though. 🙂 My hope is to share my love for learning with you in a way that is inspirational, educational, encouraging, and motivational. If you have any advice about what I can add to this blog to help you, please let me know. I want this to be a place that we can all learn from each other. I guess that is just the teacher in me talking.
