Deciding on our honeymoon destination was not as difficult as you would have thought. We honestly were not even sure we were going to go on a honeymoon due to the expense and the lack of motivation to find the perfect spot, but after attending one of those Bridal Expose things and meeting a travel agent, we figured we could at least hear the girl out. We mentioned we may want to go to an island somewhere (I am much more of a beach girl than anywhere else) and our travel agent immediately mentioned Jamaica. She said she goes there every other year or so. What??? How can anyone do that? Apparently, I picked the wrong profession. Anyway… She spoke so highly of it and talked about it being one of the cheapest island vacations so we were sold. I have to say, I was beyond impressed when I arrived in Jamaica. The people there were so hospitable and with an island whose motto is, “Jamaica, no problem” how can you go wrong?
We stayed at one of the Sandals resorts because we wanted the all-inclusive experience so we didn’t have to worry about money or anything. It was well worth it. From the pool…
to the beach…
to the entertainment…
it could not have been better.
My huband and I did choose to pay additional fees for two not included items, but they were totally worth it. We also took a catamaran to Dunn’s River Falls, which is a ginormous waterfall that you get to climb up. You literally climb 600 feet up the falls with the water rushing back down on you. So fun!
Also, we took scuba diving lessons and were able to dive for free the rest of the trip. AH loved it, but I have to say that after the first day I chickened out. At least I can say I have done it though. 🙂
If you are looking for an island vacation to relax your worries away, I highly recommend Jamaica.
